I recently visited a province in Lao PDR. Apparently, it was one of the most bombed provinces, in the most bombed country in the world. Non-government organisations like the Mining Advisory Group play an important role in clearing a number of unexploded ordinance (UXO) that still litter the country.
This is just one of the marker that they place in a parthway after they clear an area with UXO. Walk between these markers and you’re safe.
Again, in one of my favourite park in Bangkok. Not sure what the occassion was but I think it was religious in nature.
A monument at the centre of the town of Takeo. This is similar to the one found in Phnom Penh if I’m not mistaken. This is the hardest night shot subject that I’ve taken as I wasn’t breathing as I try to hold still because I did not have a tripod to stabilise my camera. 🙂
Taken from Saphan Taksin BTS Station. The best way to travel around Bangko probably is by the BTS and MRT, however, it’s a bit pricey. But if you’re in a hurry, it’s worth it. I remember the MRT in the Philippines when it first rolled its first trains used to have the same quality of services and facilities but true to the infamous Filipino spirit… “ningas kugon”
