Trees

Joyce Kilmer
1886-1918

I think that I shall never see
A Poem as lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earth’s flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

  1. this is interesting but i rarely get this kind of shot overexposed. most of the time, underexposed kaya hindi makita details sa dahon at branches. i kinda like the effect of this one. it makes one re-experience the moment of looking up and getting too much light out seeing the bright sky. i love how detail was emphasized here.

  2. Yeah, when I got the shot, it was really fulfilling kasi parang ramdam na ramdam mo yung texture ng puno… salamat rayts! 😀
